Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization which gives its members the
opportunity to develop and improve their public speaking abilities through local club meetings, training seminars and speech contests.
University of Oregon Toastmasters is a structured, yet informal environment that works to reflect the University culture.
Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice conducting meetings, giving impromptu speeches, presenting prepared speeches, and offering constructive evaluation. Feel free to come to a few meetings and see if it is the right atmosphere for you. We have many undergraduate and graduate students, as well as people from the community. It is really exciting to have such a wide range of people, and ultimately makes it a more meaningful experience for everyone.
Experienced professionals and beginning speakers alike can benefit from our practical, face-to-face learning program.
You'll learn and practice in a friendly, comfortable environment with people who are there for the same reason you areto become better communicators.
Walk-ins are welcome. Just drop by
